Artist Bio:

Kayla Flinn is originally from Halifax. She has an undergraduate arts degree, an environmental studies masters degree and a graduate degree in environmental/sustainable education.

For her master’s thesis, Kayla researched the complex relationships that currently exist between humans, animals and nature. This remains a common theme throughout most of her artwork today.

A Jill of all trades in the winter she travels as a freelance journalist, collecting research and writing articles for non-profit wildlife organizations. She is also an onscreen talent/video host for factual TV programming and does a lot of on screen work for scuba diving companies in the Caribbean.

 

On the 1st day of 2019 Kayla launched her own company, One Eyed Bear Productions and continues to work in the film industry for various broadcasters as a Director.
